Stash wins Magellan Award for Impact of Loyalty Program

Travel Weekly just awarded Stash a 2014 Silver Magellan Award for “Impact of Loyalty Program”, the second Magellan on our trophy shelf.

Being recognized by Travel Weekly for the impact of our loyalty program is a big deal. Magellan competition is fierce and international: Stash is up on the podium with Delta Air Lines and Hilton Worldwide, among others.

The judges were impressed by evidence uncovered by the Cornell study, showing that after guests enrolled in Stash, they returned to a hotel nearly 50% more often.

“Travel is booming, on track to become the largest industry in the world,” writes Arnie Weissmann, Travel Weekly’s editor in chief.

“In this increasingly competitive environment, some companies will succeed and some will not. What separates them?”

Sounds a little scary—but the Magellan judges are bullish on the future of Stash:

“There appears to be a strong correlation between Magellan winners and companies on a solid course of growth. That linkage is not coincidental: Magellans reward the creative thinking that infuses successful companies.”

We’re honored to be recognized for Cornell’s evidence that Stash increases guest loyalty. And we’re not standing still. Big, exciting changes are coming to Stash in the next 12 months: watch this space.
