There’s nothing better than a fresh new look, whether it’s a hairstyle or a hotel lobby, we all crave something new. Here are some of your favorite independent hotels that got a face-lift over the last few months. Feel free to tell them how amazing they look!
The Inn at Union Square – San Francisco, California
This San Francisco gem just underwent a floor-to-ceiling renovation. At first glance you’ll think you’ve walked in to the parlor of one of the city’s historic homes. Wood burning fireplaces, velvet lounge chairs, and tufted headboards allow complete relaxation from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Hotel Boulderado – Boulder, Colorado
When you have a historic atrium lobby that dates back to 1909, you take pride in keeping the integrity of the structure; but that doesn’t mean the old girl can’t get a few updates every hundred years or so. Adding modern amenities to the space such as complementary wifi, in-house coffee bar, and updated decor, this will remain the place to gather.
Hotel Viking – Newport, Rhode Island
With a fresh renovation to their public spaces, lobby lounge, dining, ballrooms, etc, this 90 year-old historic hotel doesn’t look a day over 21. Open concepts and updated decor give the space new life.
Whitney Peak Hotel – Reno, Nevada
The third floor of Whitney Peak Hotel has always been awe-inspiring, with a view that overlooks the iconic Reno arch. But with the recent renovations, it’s now home to over 20,000 square feet of unique ballroom and meeting space to host your next unforgettable event.
Tetherow Lodges – Bend, Oregon
Just when we thought it was impossible for Tetherow Lodges to add more ways to enjoy the beauty of their Oregon surroundings, they build the Events Pavilion and blow us away. Complete with floor to ceiling glass doors, this space brings the beauty of the outdoors in making your event feel like a walk through nature.
Caribe Royale – Orlando, Florida
Now when you’re relaxing poolside at Caribe Royale, you won’t have to go far to enjoy a new “Floribbean” style menu and specialty craft cocktails. The new Calypso’s Pool Bar & Grille will make your time in the sun even more relaxing.
Menger Hotel – San Antonio, Texas
When you roll up to the Menger Hotel in your horse-drawn carriage, you’ll notice the 100+ year old facade has been updated to bring out it’s historic beauty. Inside, the famous common areas have received updates and all guest rooms now don decor that blends with the Victoria architecture.
Overton Hotel & Conference Center – Lubbock, Texas
With the addition of the Pergola Lounge, guests and locals alike now have even more reason to swing by the Overton Hotel. This spacious outdoor dining area offers a place to relax after a long day, catch a game on one of their large flat screen TV’s, or enjoy live music on a summer evening.
