After our vote counting machine repair man came and made the necessary fix, we were finally able to tally the votes. And with so many imaginative, artistic, and sometimes oddball entries to choose from, selecting Grand Prize, Runners Up, and Third Place was not easy.

The Stash Postcard Contest

We want to send you on a dream getaway to a Stash partner hotel. You’re all deserving of a vacation of your own, so we devised a contest to help us decide who to send.

1. Using the enclosed postcard (aka: your entry form), show us what gets your blood pumping when you imagine your dream trip. a. On the front, draw, doodle, or otherwise express your ideal stay at a Stash Partner Hotel. b. On the back, continue the creativity as you fill in the blanks.

2. Stamp it and mail it back to us (postmarked by November 4).

3. Our team of judges will then select the winner based on inspiration and creativity (your dream destination won’t weigh in to our decision).

4. We’ll contact winners via email the week of November 20.

Prize Details:

1 Grand Prize: 3 nights at any Stash Partner Hotel (up to $1500), airfare for 2 (up $1000) and $500 for spending money.

10 Runner Ups: Ten people will win 2 nights at any Stash Partner Hotel, up to $500 in value.

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

Stash Visa Card Postcard Contest (the “Contest”) starts on October 15, 2015 at and ends on November 4, 2015 (“Contest Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to Stash partner hotel employees who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old and have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry (“Entrants”). Employees of RevPAR Collective, Inc. dba Stash Hotel Rewards (“Sponsor”), and its parent, subsidiary, and affiliate companies, promotion and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouse and parent, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.  Participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.  Winning the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

HOW TO ENTER:

During the Contest Period, draw your dream vacation at an existing Stash Partner Hotel on the entry form provided, or on a 3” x 5” piece of paper; hand-print your name, telephone number (including area code), email address, and Partner Hotel name, with proper postage affixed to: Stash Visa Card Postcard Contest, 2225 E. Bayshore Road, Suite 200, Palo Alto, CA 94303 (“Entry”). All Entries must be postmarked by November 4, 2015 and received by November 11, 2015 to be considered. Incomplete or illegible Entries, and Entries without a signature will not be honored. No mechanically reproduced or photocopied Entries permitted. Sponsor not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, misrouted or postage due Entries/mail. Entries/drawings become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit one (1) Entry per person, per email address, per envelope, and per household. Entries received from any person or email address or envelope or household in excess of the limitation will be void.

REQUIREMENTS OF ENTRIES:

Entry must (i) be entrant’s own original work, (ii) cannot be previously published or submitted in connection with any other contest, (iii) be in keeping with the Sponsor’s image and (iv) not be offensive or inappropriate, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, nor can it defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or property rights or any other third party rights.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, is offensive or inappropriate, not in keeping with Sponsor’s image or that is otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.

By submitting your Entry, you agree that your Entry conforms to these Official Rules and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify your Entry for any reason, including if it determines, in its sole discretion, that your Entry fails to conform to these Official Rules in any way or otherwise contains unacceptable content as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.

By submitting an Entry, entrant hereby grants permission for the Entry to be posted on https://commons.stashrewards.com/ or other websites. Entrant agrees that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Released Parties do not guarantee the posting of any Entry. Entrants agree that they will not use the Entry for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the Entry to any online social networks, without the express consent of Sponsor in each instance.

JUDGING:  All eligible Entries received by Sponsor will be judged by the following criteria: (a) Originality/Creativity (65%), (b) Appropriateness to Subject Matter (25%) and (c) Sincerity (10%) (“Judging Criteria”). Entrant whose Entry earns the highest overall score will win. In the event of a tie, a “tie-breaking” judge will determine the winner based on the Judging Criteria. Entry must be original and of Entrant’s style and creation. Entrant assigns and transfers to Sponsor all rights, title and interest to the Entry. Winner selection to be conducted by qualified judges, whose decisions are final. Judging will be conducted on or about November 20, 2015. Sponsor reserves the right not to award prize, or fewer prizes if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries. Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Judges’ and Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest.  Potential winners will be notified by telephone, mail and/or email and may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) and any other documents required by Sponsor, which must be returned within ten (10) days of date appearing on prize notification. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable, failure to sign and return requested documentation within the specified time period, the inability of Sponsor to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules by any potential winner will result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up.

Prizes:

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded:  Grand Prize includes a trip for winner and one (1) guest to stay three (3) nights at any Stash Partner Hotel with a maximum value of $500 per night, on dates to be determined by Grand Prize Winner and Sponsor in accordance with these Contest Rules. Grand Prize Trip consists of roundtrip, coach class air transportation from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s residence to designated location and three (3) nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy, maximum value of $500/night) at Stash Partner Hotel. If winner resides within a 100-mile radius of destination, ground transportation may be provided in lieu of air transportation and no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof. Additionally, Five Hundred Dollars ($500) spending money will be awarded to Grand Prize Winner only. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize: $3,000.00 Actual value of prize may vary based on point of departure.

Ten (10) Runner Up Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of two (2) nights hotel accommodations at a Stash Partner hotel, with a maximum value of $250 per night (one room, double occupancy). ARV of Runner Up Prizes is $500 per Runner Up Prize, with a total of $5,000 for all Runner Up Prizes.

Twenty (20) Third Place Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a Custom Stash Fit-Bit. ARV of Third Place Prizes is $117.50 per Runner Up Prize, with a total of $2,350 for all Third Place Prizes.

Total ARV for all prizes is: $10,350

Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded.  Grand Prize and Runner Up Prize Trips must be taken on the dates specified once arranged and confirmed by Sponsor or such prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner. All travel must be completed by December 31, 2016 or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner.  Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary.  Guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (and at least 18), unless the child or legal ward of winner and must sign a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. If guest is child or legal ward of winner, winner must sign and return release on behalf of such child or legal ward. Travel must be made through Sponsor’s agent, on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice. Travel is subject to availability. Certain blackout dates and travel restrictions may apply.  All federal, state and local taxes and all other costs associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including air transportation for Runner Up Prize Winners, ground transportation, meals, souvenirs, gratuities, etc. are the sole responsibility of the winners.

Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value.  Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided.  All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  By participating, each Entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Contest; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, and its parent, affiliate, and subsidiary companies, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Entrant’s participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize (including any travel/activity related thereto); and (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/video, image and/or likeness for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide, and in perpetuity by Sponsor and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from Entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.  By participating, Entrant also agrees not to release any publicity or other materials on their own or through someone else regarding their participation in the Contest without the prior consent of the Sponsor, which it may withheld in its sole discretion.

OWNERSHIP/USE OF ENTRIES:  By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees Sponsor shall own the Entry submitted (including all rights embodied therein) and that it and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, and distribute the Entry and all elements of such Entry, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to Entrant or any third party.

MISCELLANEOUS: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, illegible, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, postage-due or garbled Entries or mail; or for other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of Entries, the announcement of the prize, or in any Contest-related materials.  Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Entrants, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. Should any portion of the Contest be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to action taken using the judging procedure outlined above. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
