The Whitney Hotel
New Orleans, LA
Guests cash in. Quietly removed from the rowdiness of the French Quarter, yet close enough to join in the revelry for a beignet or something stronger if that’s your fancy, The Whitney Hotel has taken up residence in an old bank. Its restaurant, Bistreaux at the Bank, has kept its grand marble pillars and an original mural (depicting, of all things, a bank robbery) painted along the partition wall. Hand-numbered prints, old money, and banking-themed art hang in the hallways. This 93-room boutique is heritage NOLA.
