No, you’re not imagining things. The Stash Blog just shared a quartet of cute penguins and it’s all thanks to our friends at The Lenox Hotel! They graciously are helping parents out with five things to do in Boston with the kiddos during School Vacation Week:
“A whole week with the kids off? What’s a parent to do! Skiing in the Alps? Sunning in the Caribbean? Waiting in the lines at Disney? If all of this seems a bit much, we invite you to just stay home-with us! Come to historic Boston and avoid the lines, crowds, and hassle. We have planned an old fashioned week of family adventures focused only on fun, not stress.
Don’t worry, we’ve figured it all out! Take a look at our exciting plans below.
5PM – 8PM
Dinner & A Movie
Looking for a low key, romantic evening in the city? Check into your room, drop your kids off with us to enjoy a supervised, age-appropriate movie and snacks, and go off on your own night on the town!
Bowl the Night Away in Boston
What’s more fun than a day of bowling? A day of bowling, complete with skee ball, pool tables, delicious food, friendly service and happy families-that’s a day at Kings. Join us for a Lenox Day at Back Bay Kings. Located just a short walk from the hotel, King’s will amuse kids of all ages. Lose the scarf and mittens and join us for a toasty fun adventure no matter the weather.
Session One: 10AM – 11:30AM
Session Two: 1:30PM – 3PM
Creative Writing Workshop with Ted Murphy
Author T.M. Murphy will present his informative and humorous talk about transitioning from struggling in school to discovering the joys of creative expression. Following the talk, T.M. will conduct a writer’s workshop during which the kids will use their imaginations to create suspenseful scenes inspired by a story starter. All this while YOU get to go off to relax, regroup, and reset! When you return, your child will have the opportunity to present his or her scene to the group, if desired, followed by an exclusive screening of Midnight Rebel, a seven-minute movie Mr. Murphy co-wrote that was recently chosen to be in the Boston Kids’ International Film Festival.
