No, you’re not imagining things. The Stash Blog just shared a quartet of cute penguins and it’s all thanks to our friends at The Lenox Hotel! They graciously are helping parents out with five things to do in Boston with the kiddos during School Vacation Week:

Bowl the Night Away in Boston
What’s more fun than a day of bowling? A day of bowling, complete with skee ball, pool tables, delicious food, friendly service and happy families-that’s a day at Kings. Join us for a Lenox Day at Back Bay Kings. Located just a short walk from the hotel, King’s will amuse kids of all ages. Lose the scarf and mittens and join us for a toasty fun adventure no matter the weather.

Creative Writing Workshop with Ted Murphy
Ages 9+
Author T.M. Murphy will present his informative and humorous talk about transitioning from struggling in school to discovering the joys of creative expression. Following the talk, T.M. will conduct a writer’s workshop during which the kids will use their imaginations to create suspenseful scenes inspired by a story starter. All this while YOU get to go off to relax, regroup, and reset! When you return, your child will have the opportunity to present his or her scene to the group, if desired, followed by an exclusive screening of Midnight Rebel, a seven-minute movie Mr. Murphy co-wrote that was recently chosen to be in the Boston Kids’ International Film Festival.

Hit the Ice
Nothing says classic winter family fun more than ice skating. Enjoy a night in the city and quality family time on the ice! Skating will run from 12:0PM until 1:30PM.

Night & The Children’s Museum
Boston is revolutionary especially when it comes to learning! Although school is out, join us for a great day exploring the Boston museum scene. We are offering discounted admission to both the Children’s Museum and the New England Aquarium for our Lenox guests. Enjoy a fun night in the city coupled with an opportunity to check out the New Ocean Tank or spend time at the Einstein Workshop. Learning can be fun even on vaca!

Family Arts & Crafts
Doesn’t everyone love a do-it-yourself craft project with the family? What will make this special project even better is that you get to make it at our house. Feel free to enjoy with the whole family or leave the kids with us while you enjoy a couple hours of shopping or dining in the city.

Do your kids love the Food network? No one will be chopped at our pastry workshop on cookie decorating. Join Chef Sean for a sweet event where your child can channel her/his inner Top Chef and create an edible masterpiece.
