Win 20,000 Points, Tell Us How You Travel Less Ordinary

That’s right, Stash wants to hear how you Travel Less Ordinary.

Ever dream of being a travel writer, of turning your globetrotting adventures into vivid stories that sweep your readers up and carry them off on the journey with you?

Well, here is your chance. Our first annual Travel Writing Competition, Travel Less Ordinary, is open until February 15.

The Competition

Simply enter up to 500 words about an unforgettable trip—keep it focused and present your destination in a way that can only come from you. Summon that inner storyteller and recount the tale of your adventure rafting down the Colorado River or sky diving in Wyoming. Tell us about the life-changing encounter you had with your friend in Chicago or a stranger in NYC or a lover in San Francisco. Craft a narrative focused on a cultural experience you’ll never forget or the legendary family vacation story you wish you could.

In short, how did your trip exemplify our Travel Less Ordinary mantra? What does it mean to Travel Less Ordinary?

We will select 3 winners based on the most compelling and creative entries. Essays must be about trips based in the U.S.; see rules for complete details.

The Prize

20,000 Stash points for first place
15,000 Stash points for runner-ups

Plus, the winners will see their piece published on the Stash blog and featured in our member newsletter.

Get writing! Deadline for submissions is February 15, 2016. Winners will be notified no later than March 18, 2016.
